Named after the combination of the words Blinds and Light, Blight is a mesh of some of the latest technology to create a visually appealing Venetian style blinds. So far just a design concept, the Blight is already turning quite a few heads at the Greener Gadgets design competition.
These stylish Venetian blinds use the large surface area on each panel to collect light energy through the flexible solar cells on the back side. When night falls, the energy stored throughout the day is expelled through electroluminescent foil. The foil requires very little energy to illuminate, which enables it to run well into the early morning, should there be a need.
