Similar to they way electroencephalograms are recorded, a headset with ear clips picks up the theta brain waves and converts them into a wireless signal that the base picks up and converts to signals that control the fan speed. The fans push air up which levitates the ball. The player then turns the knob on the front of the base which rotates the obstacle course, therefore progressing the ball. There are nine possible obstacles, which 8 can be in play at one time. They are also interchangeable, so you can change it up every time you play.
